Welcome to South Oxford Bowls Club Website

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Following the government's measures on Staying At Home and Social Distancing all bowling has been suspended and the club will be closed until 30th June 2020. We will review this early in June or when further information becomes available. The Triples League is postponed, we will see if can run a shortened League if and when we resume playing. The Oxfordshire Men's League, all OBA and BOL competitions and National competitions are cancelled for this season.
We will still be maintaining the greens as best we can so that we will be ready to play if the opportunity arises!!

KEEP SAFE

NEW UPDATE

GOOD NEWS We are able to open the greens for play from WEDNESDAY 27th MAY. We have had to make extensive restrictions to allow us to conform with the Bowls England guidelines. The Special Rules are posted at the Club and were updated on 5th JUNE. These can be downloaded from the Website. We now allow 4 players per rink and all rinks must be booked in advance on the Rink Bookings page of the website, do not just turn up and expect to play. Any queries please call Keith Mobley.

Government advice on Covid-19 and Social Distancing must be followed at all times.

Enjoy a roll up but Stay Safe.

Annually the Ian Pearce Memorial Mixed Pairs Competition is held by the Club, together with The South Oxford Open Fours Competition.

We also encourage youngsters to enter the game and provide coaching in the hope that they may eventually compete for a place in the County Under-25 team.

During the winter months we play short-mat bowls on Tuesday evenings. In the closed season we also run a full winter programme of social events at the Clubhouse.
